Group-Placing CH Bahja du Soleil, BCAT TKN
Bahja was the second born of our B litter. She is an outgoing and independent girl. In her show debut, she won Best of Breed, earning her first championship point. At just nine months old, she went on to represent the breed in the Hound Group at the Beverly Hills Dog Show 2020.
On her way to earning her AKC championship, Bahja placed Winners Bitch or higher in 18 of her 21 appearances in the ring, including winning the only unbroken major she encountered at the breed level. She also bested every single Sloughi class dog or bitch she competed against at least once, often more than once. She earned her second championship major by placing in Group, under a previous ASLA National Specialty judge. We can't wait to see what she will do as a special!
Bahja is extensively health tested. Along with a couple littermates and her father, she is the most extensively health-tested Sloughi in the United States. She was the first Sloughi to have PennHIP testing, as well as OFA elbows and shoulders. She was also the third Sloughi and first female Sloughi to have hips evaluated by OFA.
Bahja has a wonderful outgoing temperament. Many strangers have fallen in love with the breed through their interactions with her. And she enjoys her job as a breed ambassador!
